As a current rental store owner and heavy equipment repair shop owner for over 20 years, working on company and customer owned lifts, I noticed some parts on the rental equipment that did not hold up to the rental environment. After becoming frustrated with the available OEM and aftermarket parts, or lack thereof, I began making my own parts and sourcing a better line of aftermarket parts.  I noticed on my own equipment, when I used these parts, it lowered the life cycle cost of the equipment, increasing the net ROI. I also noticed when a customer damaged equipment, for example a fender or cylinder guard, if I charged them the OEM price, they would likely not be a return customer. I am now heppy to be passing these improvements on to others.
